Road Bulletins
Road is in great shape. Minimal potholes and I don't think there was even a single waterbar. Parked at the semaphore lakes TH. There was a tesla parked there. The only worry may be tire slippage on some of the switchback uphill turns
Good condition, lots of potholes and washboard as always but no snow for this section of the road (snow at 1200m)

Hurley is Open!

Hurley is open Wednesday May 15 at 5:00pm. The road is single lane with lots of pullouts, trailer friendly, road is icy so have chains or sandbags or winter tires. There is a layer of ice on the road that is breaking up so if travelling it the next few days use a 4×4 vehicle. Ice should be gone in a few days. Thanks to Scott Holden for getting the road open before the long weekend and to Scott and Sal for all the updates. Have a safe drive!

We exited Tenquille Lake Hut via branch 12 FSR and the Hurley FSR on December 23rd. There were many open creek crossings on branch 12 and only about 10-30 cm of coverage on the road. Snow on the Hurley FSR began to thin out substantially at 900m and we were walking in runners from KM7 to the valley bottom (no snow). It looks like it rained on the 21st and 22nd and washed out most remaining snow below 900m on the Hurley FSR.

With a sedan 2WD, we went all the way to Semaphore Lake trailhead via Hurley Creek FSR. There were a lot of holes and the road was bumpy, but otherwise no big difficulties. We went very slowly.
Lots of washboards in the road from all of the traffic, but otherwise still drive-able in a 2WD
