Road Bulletins

Drove in Suburu Crosstrek. Still in good condition until the narrow section down hill, where it gets a bit chunky. Better condition than West Harrison.

Good condition especially at the start. I think it starts to get rougher at around 7 km give or take. At the 7 km marker, there were large rocks on road from the cliff above to drive around. I'd recommend AT tires.
Sarah Ries reported on: Jan 25, 2025
Still good up to 8 km mark. Snow free currently
Francis Bailey reported on: Jul 14, 2024
Still in fantastic shape as per Heath's report although we only drove to the 8km mark
Heath Anderson reported on: Jun 30, 2024
Wow this road is in excellent shape. I drove from km 0 to the intersection with Mystery Creek Branch 8100. In some spots I think you could mistake it for asphalt if you closed your eyes. Signs of active logging all along however didn't see any equipment on the weekend. There is a short no stopping section from 7-7.5 km due to the previous wildfire. The road in this section was a little rougher but still no problem in 2wd.
Francis Bailey reported on: Feb 19, 2024
Mystery Creek is in much smoother condition than Harrison West. Easily driven with a 2WD. Only drove to the turn off for Branch 8100

[From Tiger Lu] - The road is like a highway. It is a 2-wheel drive road up to the Statlu Lake trail head area.
Alessandro Lanius reported on: Jul 01, 2023
For access to statlu lake, we drove as far as the sharp hairpin where the road turns south. Road was in great shape. Low clearance car would be no problem
