Good conditions, continuous snow started around 18km, need some clearance not to bottom.
Gate was open, with no tracks after the bridge.
Road completely covered in snow so couldn't see surface. But did not appear to be overgrown or have any major obstacles.
David Sutanto - Mar 14, 2026Road does not exist yet. There are signs (dated September 2023) and lots of flagging marking its proposed route.
David Sutanto - Mar 14, 2026Road is private entrance to Forestry Centre at south end and decommissioned from power line to where the road enters at an angle about halfway.
Russ Paton - Aug 04, 2025Road was somewhat overgrown and had awkward cross ditches. Drove 1 km to Fletcher Lake Trail
Greg Jones - Jul 10, 2025The road was snow covered but I could see that it has deteriorated to a high clearance 4x4 condition. It used to go through to Isobel Lake but now dea...

Cam Soo - Mar 07, 2026Lots of large rocks, quite degraded. A stock 2001 ranger 4x4 made it with minimal scraping, but barely.
Cam Soo - Mar 07, 2026Road is in good condition until the impasse at 16 km, no problem for any higher clearance vehicle to bypass it. Road is fine up to the Kenyon spur.
Cam Soo - Mar 07, 2026Moved the 21.5 km impasse from Shovelnose Creek to Turbid Creek as it was incorrect. Blocked by lock blocks between washout and TFL 780 with opening w...
